Nellie and Ronald Biles are the adoptive parents of Simone Bills. However, Ronald is Simone’s biological grandfather and the biological father of Shanon, Simone’s mother.
Biles was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 14, 1997, as the middle child of four children. Simone and her other children, Adria, Ashley, and Tevin, were abandoned by Shanon Biles because she was unable to care for them. Each of the four entered and exited foster care.
When Ron Biles and his second wife Nellie Cayetano Biles learned that their grandchildren had been in foster care, they temporarily took in Shanon’s kids in the north Houston suburb of Spring, Texas, in 2000. Simone and her younger sister Adria were formally adopted by the couple in 2003.
