DeAndre Hopkins was born on June 6, 1992. He is an American football wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He attended Clemson University and was drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Hopkins has five Pro Bowl appearances and has been named to five All-Pro teams. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals.

Hopkins attended D. W. Daniel High School in Central, South Carolina, where he participated in football, basketball, and track and field for the Lions athletic teams. Hopkins came back as a starting wide receiver opposite Andre Johnson to begin the 2014 season under new head coach Bill O’Brien. Hopkins announced on July 30, 2016, that he was holding out for a new contract, but he did not report to training camp. Hopkins was fined $6,076 on September 15, 2016, for wearing inappropriate cleats with his shoes, which were identified as Kanye West’s Yeezy 350 Boosts.

On August 31, 2017, Hopkins and the Houston Texans agreed to a five-year, $81 million contract, including $49 million in guaranteed compensation and a $7.5 million signing bonus.

At the end of the 2019 season, Hopkins had 104 receptions for 1,165 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. His teammates ranked him eighth on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2020 list.
