He quickly rose to prominence as one of the league’s best power forwards. The Philadelphia 76ers took Barkley fifth overall in the 1984 NBA Draft.

He was a dynamic player who could score, create plays, and defend. Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star, an 11-time All-NBA Team member, and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1993. He was named to the NBA’s 50th and 75th-anniversary teams, respectively.
