Sheene debuted in competitive motorcycle racing in 1968, winning his first races on his father Frank’s 125cc and 250cc Bultacos at Brands Hatch.

Sidonie Sheene, 30, was comforted today by friends and family after Jonny Thomas, 34, was discovered dead in Swansea city center during a night out.
Sidonie was thought to be frustrated after traveling from her home in London to South Wales to be with Jonny’s family after hearing of his death.
Sidonie and Jonny planned to travel to Australia and establish a new life together, where her father, a British World Champion Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, was respected until his death in 2003, at the age of 52.
Former Swansea and Aberavon rugby player, who was visiting his family in Swansea, South Wales, was allegedly killed by 23-year-old Daniel Shepherd in the city’s Princess Way.
