Myles Lashley was born on July 6, 2008, to parents Bobby Lashley and Kristal Marshall in Colorado, America. As of 2022, he is 14 years old. He belonged to a family with only one father. Franklin Roberto Lashley, also known as Bobby Lashley was born on July 16, 1976, in Junction City, Kansas to his parent’s drill sergeant in the United States Army. Bobby Lashley is a native of Panama. He was raised by a single mother who struggled to get a decent job and spoke little English. As of 2015, one of his three older sisters was still serving in the U.S. Air Force.
The family occasionally transferred between military installations. Bobby Lashley attended Fort Riley Middle School while his father was stationed there. He was exposed to amateur wrestling as a substitute for football in the seventh grade. Later, he received his diploma from Junction City High School, where he kept up his wrestling. He was a Missouri Valley student.
After college, he joined the American Army in his father’s footsteps and participated in the army’s World Class Athlete Program for amateur wrestling. He earned a gold and silver medal in the senior freestyle wrestling competition of the International Military Sports Council during his three years in the Army.
Lashley saw a bank robbery in 2003 while residing and training in Colorado Springs to represent Team USA in wrestling at the 2004 Olympic Games. He was forced to dive for cover to dodge gunfire and sustained a knee injury that required surgery, ruining his amateur career.
