Elisabeth Schumacher was born on June 6, 1949, and died on April 20, 2003, at the Uniklinik Köln in Cologne, Germany. She passed away at the age of 55. Rolf Schumacher, her spouse, was a bricklayer who ultimately ran the local kart track, while Elisabeth handled the track’s canteen.

Elisabeth and Rolf were blessed with two sons, Michael Schumacher and Ralf Schumacher. Michael and Ralf Schumacher are both active members of the sports community.

Michael Schumacher’s racing career began in karting. He won his first karting championship when he was six years old, in a kart he made out of scrap pieces. In 1994 and 1995, he won his first and second driver’s championships.

When he retired from the sport in 2012, he held the records for the most wins (91), pole positions (68), and podium finishes (155), all of which have since been beaten by Hamilton, while also holding the record for the most cumulative fastest laps (77).

He was known for driving his car to the limit for extended periods during races, for his pioneering fitness program, and for his ability to rally teams around him.

He and his younger brother Ralf are the first siblings to win Formula One races and the only siblings to finish first and second in the same race, a feat they did four times.

Ralf Schumacher

Ralf Schumacher was born on June 30, 1975  in Hürth, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany . He is the second child of Elisabeth Schumacher and Rolf Schumacher.

He is a former racing driver from Germany. He is Michael Schumacher’s younger brother, and the two are the only siblings to have won Formula One races.

Ralf Schumacher began his karting career at the age of three and quickly rose to prominence before transitioning to motor racing in the German Formula Three Championship and the Formula Nippon series. His first significant karting win came in 1991 when he won the NRW Cup and the Gold Cup.
