Wright has Liberian and Ghanaian ancestors. He has represented the United States at every level of youth competition. Gregg Berhalter brought Wright into the United States senior camp in May 2022 for a CONCACAF Nations League window.
Wright scored his first international goal on his senior debut for the United States against Morocco on June 1, 2022. Wright was picked to the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad in November 2022.
