Roger Thomas Staubach, better known by the monikers “Roger the Dodger,” “Captain America,” and “Captain Comeback,” is a former American professional football quarterback who played for the Dallas Cowboys for 11 seasons in the National Football League(NFL).

He received his education at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1963. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy, where he completed a tour of duty in Vietnam. In 1969, Staubach signed with Dallas, where he spent his entire 11-year playing career. Four times as the starting quarterback, he guided the squad to the Super Bowl.
