Biography

Mike Tyson has suffered a lot of losses throughout his life. His father, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, left the family when he was just two years old. 32 years ago, Tyson experienced a terrible personal loss.

When he was only 16 years old, his mother Lorna Smith Tyson passed away in 1982.
A few weeks after Buster Douglas defeated him to win the heavyweight world championship, he lost his only sister.

Denise Tyson’s cause of death.

Denise Anderson passed away on February 21, 1990, apparently from a heart attack at her residence in Queens, New York. She was only 24 years old at the time, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Denise’s husband found her unresponsive at exactly 8:30 a.m. in their St. Albans residence. She was taken urgently to the intensive care unit but was apparently in cardiac arrest when she arrived and was declared dead.

According to the LA Times, Anderson’s weight was “between 300 and 400 pounds” at the time.  Asthma and diabetes were also apparently present in her, and they are both believed to have played a significant role in her untimely death. After the funeral and traditional procedures were completed, Tyson’s sister was buried at Rosedale and Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Anderson’s death came a little over a week after Tyson, who was 23 at the time, had lost the undisputed heavyweight championship. One of the biggest upsets in boxing occurred when James Douglas knocked him out in the tenth round in Tokyo.

Mike Tyson remains in good shape at 56

Mike Tyson is still in fantastic form at age 56. The former heavyweight champion stated that even though he was recently seen in a wheelchair at an airport, it was just because his sciatica flared up.

He recently released a video of himself working out. Throughout it, “Iron Mike” demonstrated power on the mitts and appeared to be in excellent shape. Following his victory over Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, Tyson was said to be planning additional exhibition fights.

The legendary boxer hasn’t yet confirmed anything, and it doesn’t appear that he will enter the ring anytime soon. In addition to acting in movies, Tyson is also quite active in his cannabis business.
