Hart is regarded as one of the all-time best professional wrestlers. Hart has gone by the moniker “Hitman” for the majority of his career.
In 1976, Hart began working as a referee for his father Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling organization. In 1978, Hart made his in-ring debut. He won championships in the 1980s and 1990s while managing The Hart Foundation stable for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). He moved to World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in November 1997, following the infamous “Montreal Screwjob,” and remained there until October 2000. Shortly after leaving the organization, Hart announced his formal retirement in October 2000.
